DR ANDREW WITHERS BDSC (QLD)

Dr Andrew Withers is a proud third-generation dentist. His grandfather Hubert Withers and father John Withers practised in the Toowoomba QLD area for many years.

Andrew graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dentistry in 1985. He went on to practise in Wimbledon, London before returning to Toowoomba QLD in 1990. Andrew is a self-confessed ‘study nerd’ having completed post-graduate studies in the areas of orthodontics and implantology. He has also completed his Diploma in Advanced Orthodontics with the International Medical College. Outside his practice, Andrew enjoys sport and keeping fit with his children. “Words barely express the joy and satisfaction we derive from the life-changing improvements we achieve with our patients, both the young and young at heart. We have such a great time with them. I take a special interest in our orthodontic cases as it’s an area of dentistry I particularly enjoy.” Dr Andrew Withers

DR STEVEN HAOYU WEY BOHDSC, MDENT (QLD)

Steven graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Master of Dentistry (Honours) from Griffith University, Gold Coast. During his studies, he completed an additional research project on patient psychology and ways to overcome dental phobias. During his postgraduate years, he was privileged to gain valuable training in public hospitals and renowned private clinics across Gold Coast, before making the move west to call Toowoomba his new home. He actively seeks to complete dental training programs to stay up to date with the latest advances in dental research and technology, to provide the best possible treatments for his patients. Steven believes in a personalised approach to achieve excellent aesthetic results for his patients. He enjoys providing cosmetic veneers and crowns, as well as routine root canal therapy and teeth extractions. He works closely with dental hygienists and therapists to ensure his patients are supported to maintain and achieve dental health. Steven is known for his gentle and calm approach to making the most anxious person relax in the chair. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the Australasian Clear Aligner Society. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and family and discovering his favourite foodie spots. When he is not at the gym, you will find Steven with his 5-month-old puppy Teddy.

DR MICHAEL LI BDSC (QLD)

Dr Michael Li graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Dental Science. Before joining Withers Dental in late 2021, Michael has worked in both public and private clinics in QLD and interstates. He was also a clinical supervisor for final year dental students from James Cook University. Michael is a caring and down-to-earth dentist who enjoys practising all areas of general dentistry and strives to achieve the best possible long-term outcomes for his patients. His special interests include oral surgery and root canal therapy. Michael is a member of the Australian Dental Association. He regularly attends professional development courses to keep up to date with new technology and changes in the profession. Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his partner, travelling and exploring the outback. He also has a beautiful senior cat Cookie who is great to cuddle with!
