The Australian Dental Association (ADA) strongly recommends mouthguards are worn by people who play contact sport, whether professional or social. We regularly see patients with broken teeth and mouth injuries which could have been avoided if they had been wearing a properly fitted mouthguard. Tailor-made guards are comfortable to wear and less likely to fall out or become loose during activity.
