General Anaesthetic
< back
A general anaesthetic may be recommended in certain cases. A general anaesthetic causes loss of consciousness during which your vital signs are monitored closely by an anaesthetist. You are totally unaware of treatment and will not feel any pain.
General Anaesthetics can be arranged at St. Andrew hospital as a day visit, but before we arrange this, a thorough examination with xrays must be done to detect all problems, and a treatment plan formulated to suit your individual situation.
