If you are a new patient or we have not seen you for a number of years, Withers Dental will give you a comprehensive dental examination. Each individual tooth and tissues of the mouth are closely examined using physical assessment, X-ray or other methods. The health of your gums and mouth, including the fit of dentures and bridges (if you have them), are evaluated and recorded. A clean and scale appointment may be recommended if there is a build up of plaque or tartar present.

Following on from the comprehensive examination, we will advise you on the status of your condition, whether it is in immediate need of attention or if it can wait a while before treatment. We then help you make an informed decision by going over all of the available options with you. At Withers Dental, we would like to encourage you to consider this initial examination as a first step in a progressive Active Maintenance Program for a lifetime of great smiles.
